I'm just stoked this game, which made my GOTY list for 2020, is actually getting an update and support and all the modes will be a BLAST with friends.Ĭurrently on sale on the eshop for ~$5 US. I haven't had the chance to play it in VR, but my friend (and lots of Steam reviews) was blown away by the implementation and how good each view felt. Personally the behind-the-car view makes the controls feel really weird, but the over-the-track options really give the RC and Slot car vibes I've been dreaming about. Often the imitations feel sluggish or awful or they target the Rock n' Roll Racing close-up camera like Blazerush does (also plays great!), but this game aims to open it up to all of the camera options. This game surprised me with how GOOD it felt as I am constantly looking for a Super Off-Road similar game.

There's a 'campaign' where you compete to unlock skillpoints to tune your vehicles, a soccer game (Rocket League, but without the flying), and a handful of variations on races for online and offline play. There are various camera options to change it from cockpit/driver's seat first-person, a behind-the-car typical racer, 3/4's view a la Rock n' Roll Racing or Blazerush, to a full-on Super Off-Road or Tiny Trax full-map view if you have a VR headset (and first-person view with full-rotation look).
